Makkah, September 01, 2026, SPA -- Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Umm Al-Qura University will host the 26th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visit Research on Wednesday at its headquarters in Makkah.
The two-day forum is part of strategic efforts to advance the Hajj, Umrah, and visit ecosystem. It provides a scientific platform bringing together researchers, experts, decision-makers, and service providers to discuss the latest research, studies, and innovative proposals. Participants will also exchange expertise and showcase leading local and international practices in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The forum aims to strengthen institutional integration among entities involved in the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem, unify efforts, improve coordination, and build effective partnerships. It also seeks to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims, support proactive and evidence-based decision-making, and promote research and development.
In addition, the forum will provide a collaborative scientific platform to attract innovative ideas that can help address operational challenges and enable researchers and innovators to develop creative solutions for advancing the Hajj and Umrah ecosystem.
Key themes include the impact of integration and coordination on enhancing the experiences of pilgrims and Umrah performers, models of integration among entities involved in the ecosystem, and measuring operational efficiency in the holy sites. Discussions will also address data governance and information sharing among entities, as well as business continuity and emergency planning.
