Umm Al-Qura University Inaugurates Hajj, Umrah, Visit Research Forum

Makkah, September 03, 2026, SPA -- Under the patronage of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Umm Al-Qura University inaugurated the 26th Scientific Forum for Hajj, Umrah and Visit Research.

University President Dr. Moaddi bin Muhammad explained that the forum features five scientific sessions, more than 40 professional workshops, five research workshops, 50 scientific papers, 30 innovative projects, and 25 speakers and researchers, with the participation of more than 80 entities from various sectors.

Attendees toured the accompanying exhibitions, which showcased innovative projects, research, and scientific posters, highlighting the role of universities and participating organizations in developing technology-driven solutions to enhance services for pilgrims.

The ceremony concluded with honoring the sponsors and winning teams of the Hajjathon 4 challenge, which aims to bring together leading minds to develop innovative, sustainable solutions that serve pilgrims.
