As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the experience of visitors to the Grand Mosque, the General Authority for the Care and Management of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced the development of “You Are Here” location guidance signs, contributing to facilitating the movement of Hajj and ‘Umrah performers within the corridors of the Grand Mosque and enabling them to reach their destinations with ease and convenience. The General Authority explained that the development work included updating the content of the signs based on continuous adjustments and improvements to services and facilities within the Grand Mosque, ensuring the accuracy of the information provided and its alignment with on-the-ground changes. It affirmed that this step comes as part of its commitment to strengthening and enhancing the spatial guidance system by providing clear and up-to-date information that helps visitors identify their locations and move efficiently, especially during peak times. The “You Are Here” signs also contribute to improving the visitor experience by reducing congestion caused by enquiries and by guiding crowd movement more smoothly, thereby supporting organisational efforts within the Grand Mosque. This initiative forms part of a package of development projects implemented by the General Authority aimed at elevating the level of services provided to the Guests of Ar-Rahman and delivering an integrated experience based on quality, accuracy, and ease of access.
