The General Authority for the Care and Management of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has confirmed the readiness of all operational and technical arrangements for the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ project for live translation of the ‘Arafah Day sermon and the sermons of the Two Holy Mosques. This is aimed at conveying Islam’s tolerant message to people around the world and strengthening cultural communication in a way that reflects the Kingdom’s role in serving the Guests of Ar-Rahman. The General Authority explained that it is translating this year’s ‘Arafah sermon into 50 world languages across all continents, comprising 25 languages in Asia, 12 in Europe, and 13 in Africa, ensuring that the lofty meanings of the sermon reach diverse peoples and communities in their native languages. From an engineering and technical perspective, preparations have included verifying broadcasting systems and updated software, as well as preparing soundproof translator booths and live translation offices to ensure high-quality transmission. The system also features expanded use of QR codes to facilitate access to both text and audio translations, which are distributed in the field via facility screens, transport buses, and pilgrim hotels, in addition to digital broadcasting on government platforms and targeted international media coverage in coordination with the Ministry of Media. This operational performance comes as an extension of the exceptional care given by the wise leadership — may Allah preserve it — to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors, and in harnessing the latest technologies to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 in enhancing the services provided to the Guests of Ar-Rahman.
