On behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin ‘Abdilaziz Al Sa‘ud (may Allah preserve him), His Royal Highness Prince Sa‘ud bin Mish‘al bin ‘Abdilaziz—Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region—had the honour of washing the Noble Ka‘bah in an annual ceremony. This reflects the exceptional care devoted by the wise leadership to the Sacred House of Allah and underscores the Kingdom's enduring commitment to serving the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. The washing ceremony of the Noble Ka‘bah was attended by a number of distinguished religious scholars, senior officials, and the custodians of the Sacred House of Allah (the Banu Shaybah family). The interior walls of the Ka‘bah were washed using Zamzam water mixed with premium rose water, perfumed with the finest oud and incense, with fragrance then applied to them. This is all within an integrated organisational framework provided by the relevant authorities to ensure the smooth conduct of the ceremony in accordance with the highest standards of quality and excellence. The washing of the Noble Ka‘bah is among the Islamic traditions that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is keen to preserve and uphold, affirming the honour of serving the Sacred House of Allah and reflecting the continuous care and attention that the wise leadership devotes to the Two Holy Mosques. The relevant authorities, foremost among them the General Authority for the Care & Management of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, continue to implement an integrated system of operational, technical, and service initiatives to ensure the preservation of the Noble Ka‘bah and the provision of the finest services to the Guests of Ar-Rahman. This reflects the lofty status that the service of the Two Holy Mosques occupies in the Kingdom's journey and its vision of serving Islam and Muslims.
