National Awareness Campaign for Domestic Umrah Launches with Broad Participation from Government…
Makkah, September 17, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah announced the launch of the national awareness campaign for domestic Umrah, with broad participation from government, private, and nonprofit entities. The campaign aims to raise awareness among citizens and residents performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia about their rights and responsibilities. It also introduces the various options available through trusted channels, helping Umrah performers plan their journeys and select services that meet their needs.
The campaign brings together government, service, and regulatory entities, including the ministries of Hajj and Umrah, interior, foreign affairs, transport and logistic services, commerce, municipalities and housing, and health. Several authorities, regional principalities, and municipalities across the Kingdom are also participating.
The campaign is being implemented through social media platforms, media outlets, participating entities' accounts, and government applications. It uses visual, written, and audio content, along with awareness messages in multiple languages. The content covers Umrah performers' rights, services, requirements, and approved channels, as well as joint regulatory operations and their results.
The campaign is part of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah's efforts to facilitate Umrah for citizens and residents throughout the year and raise awareness of available options through approved channels. In coordination with relevant entities, these efforts aim to improve service quality and enrich the Umrah experience, in line with the directives of the Saudi leadership and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
