Muslim World League Condemns Continued Houthi Terrorist Militia Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Makkah, October 6, 2026, SPA -- The Muslim World League (MWL) strongly condemned the continued heinous aggression of the Houthi terrorist militia against civilians and civilian objects in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as its repeated targeting of Muslim holy sites and their holiest places (Makkah and Madinah), in addition to the Kingdom’s capital, Riyadh, and the cities of Abha, Khamis Mushait, Jazan, Najran, Taif, and Yanbu. The militia has also continued to target the Kingdom’s vessels in the southern Red Sea and the Bab Al-Mandab Strait.
In a statement issued by the MWL General Secretariat, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Association of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa renewed his condemnation of these terrorist attacks, which violate all religious values, international and humanitarian laws and norms, and demonstrate the criminal approach of this terrorist militia and its rejection of all efforts toward a comprehensive peaceful and political solution that would restore the situation to its proper course through the constitutional mechanisms it had overturned.
On behalf of the MWL’s global bodies, councils and assemblies, as well as all Muslim peoples under its umbrella, Sheikh Al-Issa renewed the affirmation of full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in all measures it takes to deter aggressors, safeguard its security and resources, and protect the safety of its citizens and residents. He also affirmed solidarity with the Kingdom in fulfilling its duty of good-neighborliness and brotherhood by supporting the Yemeni people and their legitimate leadership in restoring stability to the Yemeni state and its constitutional institutions, extending its sovereignty over all its territory, and defeating the criminal faction and its coup against Yemen’s legitimate government, a coup that has brought death and destruction upon Yemen and its people.
