Makkah Royal Commission Hosts Introductory Tour for Umrah Companies, International Agents
Makkah, August 25, 2026, SPA -- The Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites, in cooperation with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, organized an introductory tour of Makkah, attended by more than 70 entities representing more than three million Umrah performers during 1447 AH, including Umrah companies, international agents, and travel and tourism companies.
The tour aimed to expand the presence of Makkah destinations and experiences in Umrah programs, familiarize partners with available opportunities, and enable companies to develop diverse programs that combine performing Umrah with exploring the city's historical and cultural sites and attractions. This would enrich visitors' journeys and provide options tailored to the interests of different segments of Umrah performers.
The program included visits to four destinations and four experiences, giving participants first-hand insight into the content and services available for incorporation into their programs.
They also visited several sites and landmarks in Makkah and were introduced to the "Discover Makkah" platform, which provides information to help visitors and partners explore destinations and plan their experiences.
The tour yielded initial outcomes, including discussions by several companies on developing new products and packages related to the Umrah experience. Following their participation, international companies also announced packages targeting markets outside the Kingdom.
