Madinah Buses Project to Launch New Route, Add New Stops Tomorrow
Madinah, September 30, 2026, SPA -- The Madinah Buses public transport project will begin operating a new route and new bus stops tomorrow within its network, as part of efforts to improve the transport experience and serve key locations in Madinah. The move will bring the network to 16 routes with 476 stops, alongside an increase in the number of daily trips on existing routes.
The Madinah Buses network comprises 16 routes connecting a number of neighborhoods, key destinations and landmarks, and major services. It provides direct transport options between the Prophet's Mosque, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, the Haramain High Speed Railway, mosques, landmarks, health, educational, and service facilities, and several residential neighborhoods.
The project, supervised by the Madinah Region Development Authority, focuses on diversifying connections between routes to facilitate travel between different destinations. The routes cover a wide range of locations, forming a multi-route transport network with integrated access points linking religious landmarks, service destinations, and residential neighborhoods, thereby expanding mobility options within Madinah.
