Islamic Affairs Ministry Enhances Awareness Services at Mount Arafat During Umrah Season
Makkah, October 07, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness during Hajj, Umrah and Visitation, has continued its awareness efforts to serve visitors to Mount Arafat (Jabal Al-Rahmah). The efforts come as Umrah performers and visitors continue to arrive in Makkah during the 1448 AH Umrah season. They are part of the ministry's programs aimed at spreading religious awareness and providing reliable information to visitors to sites frequented by pilgrims.
The ministry has provided field services through Islamic awareness booths and technical resources in the vicinity of Mount Arafat and Namira Mosque. A group of qualified preachers and translators is participating in the efforts, answering visitors' inquiries and providing religious guidance in multiple languages. Awareness booklets are also being distributed in various international languages to accommodate the diverse nationalities of visitors and ensure that awareness messages are conveyed clearly and effectively.
The efforts align with the ministry's mission to serve pilgrims, spread religious awareness, and promote the values of moderation and balance. They also reflect the Kingdom's commitment to caring for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques and contribute to enriching their experience during the Umrah season, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
