Islamic Affairs Ministry Answers over 100,000 Sharia Inquiries during 1448 AH Umrah Season

Jeddah, October 17, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance answered more than 100,000 Sharia inquiries through its toll-free automated response service during the first quarter of the 1448 AH Umrah season, providing religious guidance in multiple languages.

The toll-free hotline (8002451000) offers automated responses in 15 languages, including Arabic, English, French, Urdu, Indonesian, Filipino, Hausa, Bengali, and Hindi. It provides guidance on Umrah rulings and rituals, alongside direct phone and video consultations with preachers during Ramadan and Hajj.

The service reflects the ministry's efforts to use modern technologies to raise Islamic awareness, promote moderation, and help pilgrims perform their rituals with ease, in line with the leadership's directives to enhance services for visitors to the Two Holy Mosques.
