Hedayathon Crowns Three Innovative Projects
Jeddah, September 12, 2026, SPA -- The Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, in partnership with the University of Jeddah, concluded the Hedayathon event, crowning three winning innovative projects that presented technological solutions to develop religious services for visitors to the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque.
The Hedayathon was organized as part of a partnership between the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the University of Jeddah to create an environment conducive to innovation and harness scientific and technological capabilities to develop quality solutions that enhance religious services and enrich visitors’ experience.
President of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais stressed the importance of leveraging technology and innovation to develop religious services and make them accessible to visitors of the Two Holy Mosques with quality and efficiency.
For his part, University of Jeddah President Dr. Obaid Al-Mudhaff said the partnership between the university and the Presidency of Religious Affairs represents a model of integration between field expertise, scientific research, and innovation, thereby developing quality solutions to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors.
At the end of the event, partners and participants were honored, and they signed a memorandum of understanding to strengthen cooperation on translation and multilingual religious content.
