Hajj Ministry Holds Saudi-Turkish Umrah Meeting to Strengthen Cooperation, Develop Services
Jeddah, September 21, 2026, SPA -- The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah organized the Saudi-Turkish Umrah Companies Meeting in Jeddah on Monday, with the participation of entities and companies operating within the Umrah and visit services ecosystem in both countries.
The meeting aims to strengthen cooperation, enhance coordination among service providers, and explore new opportunities to develop services provided to Umrah performers and visitors.
The meeting included bilateral talks between Minister of Hajj and Umrah Tawfig Al-Rabiah and Türkiye's President of Religious Affairs Safi Arpaguş, during which they discussed areas of cooperation in Umrah and visitation and ways to enhance coordination between the two sides to develop services for Umrah performers and visitors from Türkiye.
The Saudi-Turkish Umrah Companies Meeting is one of the specialized initiatives under the Umrah and Ziyarah programs.
It also forms part of the ministry's efforts to establish institutional cooperation frameworks with its partners, develop the Umrah and visit services system, and harmonize operational and regulatory concepts and procedures among service providers in Saudi Arabia and Türkiye.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen partnerships between the Saudi and Turkish Umrah systems, enhance coordination and integration, explore opportunities for cooperation and investment, exchange knowledge, and develop programs and services that improve the Umrah and visitation experience.
An accompanying exhibition was held on the sidelines of the meeting, featuring 21 exhibitors from the Umrah companies, aviation, hotel, tourism, and transport sectors.
The exhibition showcased services and solutions for Umrah performers and visitors and created opportunities for networking and cooperation among participating entities from the two countries.
The meeting also featured the "Nusuk Council" program, bringing together 40 representatives from Saudi and Turkish companies, alongside business meetings and two enrichment zones.
